Universe 87 Campaign – CSO vs Dravani Options

Here are a bunch of pix from Game #3 in our second U87 Campaign; Assignment: Incursion. My Dravani were the Attackers and we achieved the objective by the end of Round 2 but stuck around long enough to properly play a third and final round. Game size was 750 points on my Urban Sprawl terrain (some of which - like the Noodle Bar - was new). We played on a 4x4' table, starting in 10x10" sectors on opposing corners and we had 4 HPTs to download from.




The Dravani set-Up. I had the luxury of many buildings to hide behind/within and I took three teams of 2 Volkoda - utilizing the Scout ability to its fullest.




The CSO set-up. Billy had to deal with some "terrain issues" when placing and moving his Stomper in the first round but after that the big bot was in the clear. You can see there is a bubble-blowin' Sniper in the windows of the orange building who is also utilizing the Scout ability.

Here's a aerial view of two teams of Volkoda during deployment - utilizing alleyways and heavy terrain. Also visable is the HPT that I will win the game with!




Round 1 - the CSO roll out. The "dogs" you see are Billy's Bomb Bots. They were originally K-9s from Starship Troopers. The CSO Leader for this campaign is Marshal Maddox - the dual-drawn guy in the trenchcoat (formerly a Punisher clix).

The Dravani movements of Round 1. My Esper actually made his Jaunt roll and carried a Ghost and an Executor with him, placing the Ghost within movement-range of the HPT. The Ghost then moved (thanks to his cybernetic leg enhancements) and successfully hacked the neutral HPT near the bottom of Round 1.


The Bride of Lilith seen in this shot is my Crew Leader - Persephone. She's one lucky b!tch at avoiding bullets... of course a wall of Shamblers comes in handy.

The Dravani hit the streets! Here you can see my Maven (the Convict Gunslinger from Wyrd), Human Form, and a team of Volkoda gearing up for action as an Executor prepared to lay suppressing fire to defend my 2nd Ghost "just in case".

Round 3


The Ghost not carry the download hacked one of the CSO Bomb Dogs and attempted to blow up both pooches but didn't have range. One is better than none!

My Maven made short order of the CSO-hired Shootist with 3 of 4 lucky shots at long-range!! He then retreated back toward the deloyment zone when word came over the wire that the Ghost had successfully downloaded the goods and was nearing the extraction point (table edge).


As usual, Billy's Peacekeepers took a lot of damage. In this last shot you can see that three Volkoda moved in and scared away the remaining two PK.

The game lasted only 3 rounds but victory was achieved. Bloodshed was minimal but I did lose one Volkoda and failed to make his save.

Round 4 will be some time around the Christmas Holiday and is a 900-point Firefight! That outta be interesting!
