A work in Progress at the moment.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() That's as far as I am. There will be a gunners position on the rear on top of the bus.I'm tempted to place a BMW side car with a machine gun in that position and rectangular hatches up front surrounded by junk and sandbags So that I can position a RPG gunner there. I want to build a balcony on the rear. -------------------- Ride fast, time grows short.

I've not decided on the theme of this bus / gang. It may be in line with other "skull" vehicles I have or I'll start a 2nd gang.
I have a bunch of beach buggies that I will use for them. ![]() That will be either '80's dark anarchist mohawk punks (black bus) like this old model I used in the old days, when sex was safe and motorcycles were dangerous ![]() or '60 - 70's hippies when sex was and motorcycle's were not.. ![]() hmm choices.. -------------------- Ride fast, time grows short.

Nice stuff. I'd love to find a school bus and do a Muppet Movie-themed paint job.

More pics of a work in progress. I'm still not happy with the top. I'll put some stowage on the space on the roof. The "barb wire"I used on this model is form a set that is commercial avalable. I bought this a long time ago from a dutch shop but it's available world wide... I'm lazy and while it's not as rough as the home made wire it looks fine with me. at this scale.
I stole the idea , sorry was inspired by, the gunner positions that Ironstar made on his bus. I took it one more step extremer and here it is.. No balcony on my bus. I like to think the wide nozzles sticking out are flamethrowers instead of Spud guns. and no one wants to camp under a dripping flamethrower. No rules for them yet :-( so for now they are spud guns. That is four gunner positions on this bus and a "gun pit" for a RPG gunner on the roof.. Bad idea to fire them from the inside of a bus packed with flame thrower fuel.. It needs another layer of grime and dust but I'wait with that untill I've decided what will go on top. I'm also considering if I should place some sandbags along the edge of the roof gunner positions. On to the pics.of this ungoing project. ![]() The sponson is far to shiny. It realy needs another dust wash. ![]() ![]() ![]() I figured the front half with the gunner, driver and engine would be a bullet magnet so you want a lot of armor there and most patchwork will be in that area too, so I that's where I placed most of the plates and repairs. ![]() The spikes protect the rearwheels and gunner positions from ramming vehicles. The drivers armorscreen is up to improve his view of the road..and let some cool air in.. "want me to turn up the airconditioner? I'll just step on this pedal down here then " The shriveled thing impaled on the hood is actualy lump of molten plastic I found after working with my dremel... when you start modding and kitbashing NEVER throw anything away!. -------------------- Ride fast, time grows short.

Thanks for the compliments guys. It's one of the reasons I keep building en posting pics
As you can see from Work in Progress pictures, it's just a matter of sticking plasticard and other scrap to a modelcar. Don't be afraid to experiment untill it looks tight, it will grow on you. Everyone can do this. don't be afraid to make a "mistake" either. Perhaps the most important thing is the last layer or wash of paint. As that will blend and connect all the little details into one vehicle... There are pictures of jada's in the forum. They look good and atmospheric because they have been given a layer of dust and mud. Just do it and post your pics! -------------------- Ride fast, time grows short.
