Okay from the get go I have been enamoured with all things Dravani and I have been working on this idea so, I am going to present it here and hope that I will get a response....

Now I don't know about the rest of you but my favorite model that hasn't come out yet is the Shadow Assassin, a Dravani who is at odds with the current leadership philosophy. Basially it comes down to people are friends, not food.... So what I have been working on is the Dawn sect of the the Dravani.

The idea is that the Shadow Assassins are the enforcers of the group, but that isn't all there is to it and now I am at an impasse on what I should throw out there so anyone up to it post it here or PM me and let's see what we can do.

Oh just as a teaser, the first thing that I worked out was the leader of the sect and his pet hacker, Promethius and Herkles.

Intriguing. The hardest part will be the fact that the Shadow Assassin is a Named Character that can only be fielded mono and cannot be upgraded in an Outbreak campaign. Of course, those are official rules... which can go out the window when you're talking about a homebrew.

Keep us posted!

This is my own Ronnin/Dravani sub-faction. I had been working on it for a couple years and it ended up going onto the back burner but I dusted it off and wanted to bring it back again.

There are ways to have fun if you have a good gaming group. I never really considered the Shadow Assassin a named Merc Character, more like, a subtle faction.

Have you seen a corrected card we haven't?

The Shadow Assassin is simply listed as 0-1 allowance with the stipulation they won't serve in a Dravani Crew.

The fielding result is the same, but the fluff you can build from is less limiting.

Run the Shadow Assassins as leaders for a group built on Ronin, replacing the Maven with a Shadow Assassin, and you have a decent start for a home brew that still fits the normal maximum allowances.

You still have a very limited number of Shadow Assassins to represent the smaller group, but you have a place to build from that fits their less established motif.

Did you mean Herakles, or Herkles. Herkles fits a computer nerd better, but Herakles fits Promethius better, so I wasn't sure. unsure.gif

Both.....

Shadow Assassins will not replace the Maven as they are more concerned about countering True Dravani that are on the field. They aren't meant to run the crews just help them take down and Human Forms/Baggers/Brides, the really big offensive threats, but I will take it into consideration. No what I have been working out is a completely different faction that runs a bit like Ronnin and Dravani...... let me finish working out the kinks it's been a while and I still need to work on some stuff. I haven't figured out how they feel about the Vatacina....

I will be very interested to see where you go with this. These are some great ideas.
