Good day,

I'm new here. Saw this game at Gencon and have been lurking for a bit and decided to start posting.

I was just curious about future plans for Rezolution. I haven't heard much and most people I talk to think the game is dead and are shocked to hear it's still going (Not meant as an offensive statement, but it is an important concern. Never good for people to assume your game no longer exists). So I was curious if there were any big plans and releases coming up for the game.

Thanks,

Regards.

Welcome Isoulle. Not to give too much away but Rezolution is far from dead. Charlie and SAD come out this month (they're currently in pre-order). Faction books are being written and will release soon and many more models and ideas are being kicked around and gearing up for release.

That's good to hear (Though I remember hearing peoples comments when Charlie came out. Mostly complaints that it had been the first release in a while. Dunno if that's true, as I said, just heard of this at GC this year).

I look forward to seeing some new stuff. I suppose I was also kinda afraid with the new mini game you're releasing Rezolution may get shoved to the side. Which would be a shame as I really like the universe.

Thanks for the info. Sorry if I sound all cynical/wary. I don't think I ever recovered from the death of Clan War...

Hi Isoulle,

Welcome to the forum.

Rezolution is still our flag ship game. The game already has over a 100 SKU's and there are many more planned. One of the drives for this year has been to get more new players into Rezolution, hence the creation of retail store demo kits to support the retailers. With the wide range of SKU's already available it is not a new game, but one that has been nominated for numerous Origins awards and one that is very much still in production. Charlie and the SAD-006 are the first release for a while, as for one reason we had to divert all our resources to work out some production issues we had with Warlands but we are still working on Rezolution.

We have, in the past couple of months, placed up for sale a number of items that were previously only available in the box sets to give new and existing players some more choices. We will be releasing the Vatacina Confessor in the next couple of months as well as the Classic CSO models and some more previously unavailable models.

We are working on the Dravani faction book for Q1 next year and at this time I can see no reason why that will be delayed.

A lot of the talk about Rezolution not being around anymore is linked to the fact that Aberrant Games, the original company was dissolved and a new partnership, Aberrant was formed that took over Rezolution and develop Warlands. The same development people, we all stayed with the game we love so much, just different owners, namely us, the people who develop the game. Because of this a lot of prominent stores incorrectly had our products listed as discontinued by manufacturer. It has taken us a while to break through that again, but we are doing so, slowly but surely.

I Hope this answers some of your questions and I look forward to you becoming an avid Rezolution player and member of this forum.

Cheers

Tony

Thanks, I appreciate your quick and direct response. Yes you have helped to alleviate some of my worries (Something which I'm sure will translate into sales tongue.gif) Though I do admit I was hoping for a more packed release list (It seems a bit light. Most game companies do around 2-4 minis per month) but you're a small company and it's in my nature to want more than is reasonable. smile.gif

I'm also happy to hear the Dravanai are the first book as they are my current faction of choice (Mainly because I really like their human servants dress style, a style of cyberpunk I don't see often these days. Any plans for more human ranged support for the faction?). Are the force books going to be a lot of rehash or are they going to be all new units for the factions?

True. But call me a sucker for the Dravani visual style...

Hi Isoulle,

Glad to be of help. Honestly, we would love to bring out 2-4 minis a month, we have the ideas for them but as you said we are a small company and we have to keep our enthusiasm to realistic budgets, or Jane will come down on us and you wouldn't want that to happen. smile.gif

The Dravani have not had many new releases for a while so it is time for us to give them some loving. smile.gif The force books will obviously have some of the background information and characters already given in the original Dark Tomorrow but their will be a lot of new material, characters, fluff, artwork etc. The Dravani's true form has not been revealed yet and the Reavers and the Kauron are just scrambling to be released. As for human ranged support, well you will just have to wait and see. wink.gif

Cheers

Sounds good. I'll be happy as long at they get some more human units. I like the idea of an army with an alien at the head and an army of human servants (Or some humanish servants like the Brides of Lilith.)

And the Dravani definitely deserve some more toys. Not just because they're my faction, but also because I feel they could use some compensation for having access to almost no mercs. Seriously, they all seem to not want to work for the evil aliens....

The "Mercs" are over-rated. Almost nothing beats a Dravani crew also fielding a Maven and at least one Shootist. If fluff is your hang-up, just keep in mind that your Ronin attachments are nothing more than Vassals to their alien counterparts (can be gobbled up via Feed/Feast at any time) and envision them as human slaves with skillz.

Tis more of a visual thing. I like the visual style of the army. I just want more human or human looking Dravani models. They're really what sold me on the faction.

Hi Isoulle,

I can understand that, I think the Executor Vassal model ( ABG4004 - the male one) is a great looking model, very cinematic. Definitely one of my favorites. smile.gif

Definitely a very good one. Though ironically the female one is my favorite model in the entire line. The other female one is good, but that one with the glasses. Something about it I really like...

There is a second female Executor that was in the original Dravani Starter box before the one you like was released and put in the box instead. That figure will be released soon on the webstore. smile.gif

Hmm, I'll have to pick that up.

BTW, I'm currently going through the old data sumps. Interesting to see stuff mentioned that hasn't seemed to appear. 4 new factions, no faction books, etc. Interesting to see how stuff has changed...

Definitely a very good one. Though ironically the female one is my favorite model in the entire line. The other female one is good, but that one with the glasses. Something about it I really like...
